Our Story

After I moved down to Florida in the Fall of 2015, I was on the lookout for a good church to call home. It took me a little while to gather my bearings, and fully transition after such a life changing move. I only knew one family who lived down here, a best friend from high school, but other than that I was on my own!

I finally made a connection through work the following year in 2016, and learned all about Life Church where a coworker went. I began attending the college and career group (Gen-Y) that Fall, and continued into early 2017. By this time, I was really focused on pursuing photography and videography full time. Initially, I geared my services toward small businesses during the week, with fun lifestyle/couple shoots on the weekends.

By March of 2017, I was handed a business card at Gen-Y, and told to reach out to a company called "Backyard Builders." That was the best client call I've probably ever made, and will ever make in my life. It turns out, the owner was Kevin Lynch himself! (Nates Dad) We had a great conversation on the phone, and set up a time to meet up for coffee. Once we got to Dunkin Donuts seated in our little booth, I got to learn allllll about Kevins business, with a side of his son Nate Lynch thrown in! ;) I explained how I could help him with testimonial videos, before and after photos, and he told me how HIS SON could help too and would be at our next meeting. I remember thinking, WHO IS THIS NATE LYNCH? Is Kevin trying to set me up with his son? I don't even know him!
After everything we wrap up our meeting, schedule another day to talk more on executing our project and then we part ways. For those of you who don't know, the Lynch family has been at Life Church forever at this point! They know literally everyone, and they are ALWAYS the last people to leave on Sunday :)

Now, let's jump to the following Sunday after that coffee date! It was March 19th 2017. I will literally never forget that day. I remember getting to Church early, finding my friend Melissa and getting seated. We had a guest speaker this specific week, so I'm sitting there, just listening to some of the intro music before worship began. I notice someone walk by out of the corner of my eye so I look up. I immediately just stopped, grabbed my friends leg and go "WAIT, WHO IS THAT?!" She starts laughing and replies, "Oh my gosh, thats the youngest of the Lynch's....Nate!"

So there he was. This Nate I kept hearing all about! I wish I could say I remembered even a moment from the message that day, honestly I was so distracted! Nate kept fake "cracking his back" just to turn back and look/smile at me!
After the service, Kevin came up to me and introduced us. Nate tried to be a cool guy and act like he wasn't phased...even though after shaking my hand he circled back over like 10 more times!!

At Gen-Y the following Tuesday, I wasn't even surprised to see Mr. Nathaniel suddenly attending. We sort of kept our distance initially, because I feel like it was too obvious how interested we were in each other. At the time, I wasn't really looking to jump into anything serious, and he tells me now he had vowed to not get married till

Slowly but surely, after a couple weeks of seeing each other at Gen-Y and Church we really began talking more and more. We added each other on the socials, and from there Nate asked me out to dinner in April. Specifically to sushi. Which is hilarious because story goes, Nate HATED sushi but saw my instagram posts and knew I would like if we got sushi lol...bless his heart.

Honestly, the rest is history. I will never ever forget that date though. It was and will forever be my most favorite date. After dinner, we weren't ready to leave each other AT ALL. He invited me to go paddle boarding (something I'd never done) on top of the fact that it was now almost 10 pm. Still I agreed and I'm so happy I did. We stayed out on the water for hours just cracking up, talking about every possible topic. Almost two years later, Nate now loves sushi...for the most part, and we are so in love and thankful for Kevin playing hitch that day at Dunkin ;)
